Density512 presents Screening and Discussion for "Remembrance and Ritual: Reflections on Eva and the Angel of Death"

On January 27th, the 77th Anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz, the Schusterman Center for Jewish Studies at the University of Texas at Austin is proud to host a virtual documentary screening of Remembrance and Ritual: Reflections on Eva and the Angel of Deathcreated by Austin-based new music collective Density512 to give context to their April 2022 premiere of the Holocaust Remembrance opera Eva and the Angel of Death by composer Thomas B. Yee and librettist Aiden K. Feltkamp. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Dr. Art Markman (Vice Provost and Professor of Psychology, UT-Austin), Dr. Tatjana Lichtenstein (Associate Professor of History, UT-Austin), Dr. Thomas B. Yee (composer), Jacob Schnitzer (conductor), and moderated by Dr. Robert Abzug ( Rapoport Regents Chair of Jewish Studies Emeritus, UT-Austin). This event will mark the EP release of Arias from Eva and the Angel of Death on Density512's new music media and record label DensitySOUND.
